Spotswood, NJ Concrete and Mortar Work

The Gothic revival style rectory at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Spotswood, NJ was built in 1872. The mortar between the bricks in the basement foundation was deteriorated. Using original techniques and a time appropriate mortar mixture, the basement of the rectory was repointed. To combat the constant moisture problem, a concrete slab was installed over the dirt floor.
